ADULT BEACH LEAGUE 2024
Welcome to the summer season!
With the growing interest in beach volleyball both with the youth and adults of the Sunshine Coast, the SCBVC is forming a league for teams to compete with all summer long.
DETAILS
- The season will run for 8 weeks on Wednesdays from July 8th to August 28th; the final week will be playoffs.
- Location will be at the volleyball courts at Friendship Park in Sechelt from 6 pm until dusk.
- Rules will be co-ed 4’s (at least one female must be on the court), standard beach volleyball rules.
- The exact times and format of pool play will be determined after registration is complete.
REGISTRATION
Each player will need to register to be able to play.
A $10 fee per player covers our insurance and administration; the remainder will be used for an end-of-season prize pool. You can register as part of a team, or as an individual. ONLY players registered will be able to play in the league (no drop-ins).
Team Registration: You can initially register a team of 3-6 players. You should have more than 4 members and at least 2 female members to ensure enough players for each week. Additional players can rotate in during play or substitute for other teams. Teams registering with less than 4 players will have additional players added to their rosters at the discretion of the captain. When each player registers, you will enter your “Team Name” on the registration form and the captain will indicate themselves as the main point of contact; each team must have a captain. We will create your team in TeamSnap where you can see your roster and schedule.
Individual Registration: Those registering as an individual may be added to an existing team requesting additional players or will be formed into a new team. When registering state “individual” for the team’s name and we will attempt to place you on a team with similar skills. Individuals will be placed on a “first come, first served basis”. There may be a limit to how many teams we will be able to register, if we do reach our maximum number of players we will refund your registration fee or you can remain on a substitution list.
